Finally a little reprieve...

But, the opportunity to hook up last night was present. 2 different offers, to be exact.

So I was planning for a lazy Sunday, and for the most part of it, it was. I woke up around 9 or so, let my cats out, had a bit of coffee and a peach for breakfast. Then I did my usual weekend morning routine of a whole lot of nothing.

Generally I play a lot of Warcraft on the weekend. I try to also play during the week, maybe an hour here or there to consistently keep my World of WarCrack habit in check. Since I didn't play any on Saturday, Sunday I had to put in some work on it.

So I went down for the morning, played for about 3 hours or so. During this time, I received a call from LF seeing what I was doing for the day, and if I'd want to meet up with her on Sunday. So I let her know my plan for the day as I half listened, and half wailed on the kiddies in PvP (Player versus Player) battlegrounds.

1pm I had a soccer game, the morning I didn't do much but play WoW. LF of course texted me a few times before the game trying to convince me to go over to her place later, to go to her nephews with her, to do something with her after she got back. So many options, yet all I wanted to do was stay at home and nerd out for awhile.

Finally I was able to break off the call, said I'd call/text her later and then took a deep breath.

I guess since I'm going with SR up to Seattle this next weekend, maybe I should give her a call and let her know that I was still around. So I called her up, shot the breeze with her, let her know that I had a soccer game today and spoke about our upcoming trip. I was going to get Friday afternoon off, she had to take her dog up to Vancouver to be dog sat by a friend while we were away, and that it'd be only us on the way up to Seattle, but we might have to give a ride to a friend on the way back. Yay... action was still planned for me. She did call me later that afternoon asking if I wanted to come over for dinner... Mmm, home cooked meals. It'd be nice, but I needed some time at home.

1pm rolled around, I had an men's indoor game down at Portland Indoor. I got out there a few minutes early and suited up. The other team, unfortunately, was down a few of their regulars, had to enlist a few and only had 1 sub. I say "only" because we actually had people show up this time and we had 4 on our bench. This team has been coming together pretty well, our passing is clicking, we're recognizing people's skills and playing the field a lot better.

We proceeded to dismantle them and beat them 14-1. I had 2 goals myself, and a bunch of near misses. It's not that the other team was bad, but we were playing the passing lanes well, kept the ball moving, and down on their end. Plus the subs were a huge bonus. Too bad we didn't get the shut out.

After that, I just went home and mowed my lawn. Knee high weeds isn't pretty in the front yard. I can't wait until my townhouse is complete, no more yardwork for me for a bit.

After that, I proceeded again to play WoW... put in another 4 hours, decided to purchase my High Warlord's Plate Shoulders. I stopped playing right after that, so we'll see how much they actually help me the next time I'm on the PvP field.

I also shot C a message to see if she wanted to go out to dinner tomorrow night, as tonight I have an outdoor soccer game for work, Wednesday I have some pickup soccer to play with LF (and hang out with her after that)... Thursday I have an indoor game I should go to, and Friday I'm out of town, finally.

Actually, I just got an email letting me know I have an indoor game on Tuesday. Well, if C doesn't want to do dinner, then I'll play. Otherwise, duty calls. :)
